Pennsylvania House Virtual Tour
Shown above is the Innkeeper's Room on the
first floor of the Pennsylvania House. The quilt on the
bed is the oldest in the Pennsylvania House. It is dated
1821 and signed by its maker. The quilt is made of imported
fabric, calico, muslin, and some homespun. It employs almost
every embroidery technique including crewel, applique, buttonhole
stitch, french knots, and others.
