The Old Northwest Chapter was organized in Ravenna, Ohio, on February 22, 1901, and the Aaron Olmstead Chapter was organized in Kent, Ohio, on October 8, 1921. These two chapters merged in 2010 to form the Old Northwest-Aaron Olmstead Chapter. Our diverse chapter actively participates in historical preservation, patriotism, and education service projects that DAR holds dear.

Our chapter participates in Wreaths Across America by placing wreaths on the graves of our veterans. We support local veterans by donating needed items to VA clinics, Freedom House, and Miss Liberty House. We send care packages, books, and cards to troops serving overseas. We advocate literacy and support education, both locally and through NSDAR committees. We advocate and promote conservation and environmental preservation.
